Newbie question

About to look at my first Jeep, a 2000 Sport. I aaume it's a TJ. It looks in good condition from the photos I saw but I don't know anything about Jeeps. Any suggestions as to what sort of things I should look for. It has 117,000 miles. Owner says no fluid leaks or body damage. I'm asking because we were recently looking at S-10's only to find that the model years we were looking at were notorious for blown head gaskets. Something I didn't know ahead of time.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply. Owner says it has no rust or body damage and no fluid leaks. Still, I realize it's 8 years old. It's a 4.0l 6cyl 5 speed with roll up windows, ac and cruise control. Adult driven. It's going to cost about $7,000.00 which seemed high to me until I started looking around. From what I've seen Jeeps hold their value much better than s-10's. I'm kinda excited about it. The last Jeep in our family was in the 60's.
