Hi,
I'm am new to Jeeps and new to this forum... I just purchased a 2003 Wrangler X and have been trying to go over it to make sure I understand everything about it... (It did not come with an owners manual, so I have since ordered one.) One thing I can not figure out is there is a red oblong tail light on the right corner of the back bumper. I have the regular tail lights that work just fine. This light is all by itself and does not light up. There is only one on the right (Passenger) side. There is not even a place for one on the left (Drivers) side. What is it for? Or is this some add-on/mod type of thing? Thanks. (PS. I am sure I will have more questions in the future!!!)

My wild guess......
if you have fog/ driving lights........
it's activated when the fog/ driving lights are turned on to let drivers behind you see you a little better because that single light is as bright as your stop lights.
It's a European thing.

If you have no aux lights, my guess is out the window.

Welp..... so much for my wild guess. Looks kinda aftermarket to me cause I think if it were EU it would be OEM looking.
Do you have fog lights? And a wire or two hanging down or tucked away somewhere in that area?
