Hi, name's Steve, first post on this forum. I apologize in advance for any etiquette errors. I am a long time 4 wheeler. I have owned 3 jeeps in the long ago past, all stock CJ5s. I currently play in a 2005 Tacoma. Lots of trips to Moab in the last few years has bitten me with the desire to get another jeep.. I want something already built and capable of handling any trail in Moab. I need some help please in evaluating the upgrades of a jeep I have my eye on and am close to making a deal. You can view it here:

Cars for Sale: 2006 Jeep Wrangler 4x4 Rubicon in Jupiter, FL 33477: Sport Utility Details - 327481213 - AutoTrader.com

I am particularly interested in the lift kit because I was not able to find any information on this forum regarding it. Also the numerous other upgrades, if you can shed any light on them I would be grateful.

Thanks very much.

Looks like the Rubicon Expresee 5.5" Long Arm. BTW I doubt that was ever wheeled. I mean who puts $40,000 into a Jeep like that just to show off? D60's front and rear and driven on the street? Why? I guess people can spend their money how they want but damn.

Edit - It says it's a ToysxTroy Alumiflex lift. Very expensive and all aluminum. I don't think they even make those anymore.

Welcome to Wrangler Forum! How much are you looking to spend on your Jeep? that one you posted has everything on it great except for tires... the tires are out of tread, ditch them. Also, are you interested in building your own?

Question about the lined jeep, wtf are those side step looking things above the rear fender flares? and what are their function?

Those are like rock sliders but for the rear quarter panel.

To the OP, looks like a sick jeep. But I'd be concerned what he actually did in it. I mean anyone can say they only took it offroad once. That's an a$$ load of money to dump into a mall crawler.... That's just me though, but it'll definitely perform. I'm not a fan of the huge lift, LA set up, but that's a whole other discussion. To each his own :)

Thanks All....It may not have been wheeled yet, but it sure will be if I buy it, that's the whole reason i want it, it will sit in the garage except 3 times a year when it gets loaded on a trailer and taken to either Moab or Colorado.

So you think this one's got the naads for Pritchitt Canyon?

With the right driver and a new set of tires? yea

I don't really want to build my own, It's cheaper to let the previous owner do that. I know I need new tires, that's included in our negotiations. Just want to make sure all the parts he's put on are up to snuff, I know the axles are so I figure he went all out on the rest.

Sweet ride. If you got the $$$ and want something already built then looks like everything is in order. Like everyone else said.. New tires and someone who aint afraid to get it dirty and she'll do great.

Too much chrome and shiny parts for me though

Go for it! and have a blast

p.s. welcome to the forum.
