Next Lift Stage

I have a 3” Black Diamond suspension lift and 33X12.5” MT Claws. My control arms are stock and I fitted a T-case lowering kit to help the drive line angle.

At some point I want to upgrade to 35” tires; to do this I am considering the following:
BDS Adjustable Control arms (all eight)
Tom Woods – Advanced Adaptors Slip Yoke Eliminator
JKS Manufacturing Adjustable Coil Over Spacers and Adjustable Front Track Bar
Mickey Thompson 35X12.5 Baja Claws

The ACOS are very cool (see JKS website) and give between 1.5 and 3.5” of lift. I would like to get some advice or comments and opinions on my choices. Any thoughts?

8 control arms will be $800+. For a little more you can get a long arm upgrade from Rusty's.

IMOA you need to get rid of the stock....everything, my advice is to go with a RockKrawler suspension lift, it is a bit pricey, but well worth the $$$$$$, it is prolly one of the most brickshithouse built suspension systems, as far as 35"s how big of a lift are you looking for? for 33"s 4" is perfect IMAO; if you want 35's or better then you will prolly want to go with a 6" lift.

Thanks for your help.....

When my 33's wear down I want to buy 35's. I know that I need at least a couple of inches extra lift and the ACOS seemed like a good alternative to throwing out my existing lift which is only a year old. I have heard of people having problems with their lift not being or becoming unlevel or the front end dropping when adding a winch. ACOS will give the extra lift needed for 35's as well as allowing me to adjust to perfect level.
My big worry now is that going to 35's will put my stock Dana 30 & 35 axels at even more risk; upgrading the axels will make the next lift stage way too expensive. The guy helping me with the work says that I should try the stock axels and change them if they break; what do you think?

i would go to an 8.8 rear before it becomes a problem.....your 30 front should hold up and the only weak link on it will be the u joints which if you go with good spicer joints they should be oke.........your 35 will break repeatedly

Beat on that rear axle till you kill it, just start saving up for the 8.8 or 44 now.

It's a tuff call when you already have a lift and want to add more lift, especially with a 3 inch. If you had a 4 I would say throw a 1.25 inch body lift on and get longer bump stops and see if that works for you with 35s

I honestly think you would be happier scrapping the 3 inch and moving up to a 4.5 inch Rock Krawler with a 1.25 inch body lift or going straight for there 5.5 inch kit.

You can always sell your 3 inch lift, someone on here might pick it up. You could sell that Dana 35 and get a couple bucks back, not much but it does have 4.56 gears in it.

Which ever way you go, buy a good set of shocks.

IMO I think the ACOS setup is just way too much money for what you are getting. When you can buy 4 2" poly spacers for the same price as one of those ACOS then I just don't see the point. By the time you get any sag from your front end you are going to be ready to add the appropriate coils in anyway. I have nothing against anything that JKS builds, and you will be very happy with their adjustable trac bar. Just don't see much of a benefit of spending the dough on the ACOS.
