Hey guy's, I just replaced my clutch and flywheel in my 2000 tj, the previous owner must have rode the clutch something terrible, the jeep only has 65000 miles on it and the clutch I just took out was not factory. I installed all LUK parts, anyway my question is after the install I test drove it and there is a slight hissing type noise coming from the clutch when I let the clutch peddle out. It's like I can here the disc touching the flywheel. This is strange to me, I have replaced many clutch's over the years in different types of cars and trucks but never a jeep. I dont remember anything like this. Is this just a mating/friction type noise until the flywheel and clutch disc wear in and you can just hear it in a jeep due to lack of insulation to road type noises. Maybe I am just to critical, it drives great and the new clutch cured all my previous noises. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
