Just curious if anyone out there was from the mountain region of North Carolina.. I don't really know of a lot of people around where I live so I was just gonna see if anyone else was out there!

I'm from Asheville also.

As far as your question about Brown Mtn it is more for dirt bikes. There are a few trails for 4x4s but not much.

I don't know of any good places to go I just hit little holes and stuff. I have been looking for places too but don't know where to start! I'm a senior in high school so I don't really have a lot of time on my hands.

Yea I know how that is. I'm a freshman in college and have hardly anytime. But if you're ever down towards the morganton area let me know. Or go hit up brown mountain. It's more for atvs and stuff but a lot of people take their jeeps up there. You just have to stop by a local gas station and get a 5 dollar day pass

There is a place called Hurricane Creek, it's up I40 almost to tenn. Also look at Richland Rd trail. It is a little south of blowing rock. Google both of them and you can get some info. PM through the week if you wanna go.

Ok I will! The only place I have heard about around here is hurricane creek. I have never been there but I have researched it and people say it's pretty nice! They said its very rocky towards the end but I might go check it out when it gets warmer.

You guys need to hit up Uwharrie if you haven't already... went there in November before they closed for the winter for the first time and had a blast... camped out friday night and Jeeped all day Saturday, just about a perfect weekend. They open up the first of April I believe.

Uwharrie, I think it's about 2 hrs away from me, me and a buddy of mine are going camping up there in a few weeks to check it out. I have never been up brown mtn but I do pass by it a lot on my way to Wilson's creek in the summer

It's about 20 minutes south of Greensboro in Troy... It's about 2.25 hours out from me in Rocky Mount/Wilson area... but it really depends on where you're coming from. I'd say a minimum of two hours based on google maps for you to get there so it'd be a good weekend trip, but a bit far to try and go and come back all in a day.
