Noticed a few things on my jeep today...

So I was playing around with my top today and noticed this

The back and side windows have that. I have full doors though. I looked over my door surrounds to see if they said anything but I saw nothing, so I guess I have no idea whose surrounds I have. My jeep is an 05 and based on what i'm guessing is the date of manifacture on the bottom, its been on my jeep for like 4.5 years. Does this mean I already have a bestop windshield channel? What about my tailgate bar?

Next question, I noticed there are no nuts on the bottom of my door hinges, should there be?

And finally, I got some mirrors that attach to the windshield frame, what is everyone doing with the leftover holes in the top hinge of the door? I just threw the bolts back in there for now but it looks a little funny. Thanks for the help!!!!

For the door hinges, if you take your doors on and off then dont worry about the nuts. Mine doesnt have them and neither did my dads and all my friends with them dont have them. If you keep your doors on all the time then it might be nice but not necessary

And if you have a soft top you probably already have the tailgate bar but the windshield header is only used for bikini/safari tops so i dont think youd have that

So is there a bestop tailgate bat or only the factory one?

I thought bestop had a windshield header that went with their softtops and their bikinis etc?

Oh I gotcha, so the part with the clips on the full soft top isn't considered a header bar. Sweet, thanks dude

Ya thats just part of the top. It is a header bar but its incorporated in. When you buy a bikini or safari top it doesnt have one so you gotta buy one separate to put on so the top will fit like the soft top does
