Novak Cable T-Case shifter

I'm looking to install the novak cable transfer case shifter, I was looking to see if this was the best one out there and a one time fix. money's not the object I've just been messing with it too much and want a one time fix. possibly raising another inch or two to run 35's which is why i want to go with cable.

Novak's 231 & 242 Cable Shifter Kit

Thanks for any input.

I looked at Novak and Advanced Adapters and liked the AA a bit better. I believe one of the models makes the shifting work in reverse of the original. 4lo would be all the way forward and 2hi all the way up. Both companies are excellent and their sales and tech support can answer any questions.

I had Novak's earlier non-cable shifter in my previous TJ and those who have shifted both types agree the new cable shifter is a much better shifter than the older linkage style like I had. If I had the extra $$$, I'd definitely be getting one of the new cable shifters in my present TJ.

The essential difference between the Novak and the 1/3 more expensive AA shifter is the Novak makes use of the OE shifter and the AA comes with a replacement shifter. No doubt the AA shifter looks cooler but that's some significant added coin to just get a cooler looking shifter. Then again in all honesty I'd probably like the cooler looking AA shifter myself.
When you have a choice, buy American.

The Advance Adapter kit reverses the shift pattern. I just got it installed. Costs a little more than the Novak - $250 - but replaces the shift handle. Pretty much the same principle otherwise I think.

I'll be wheeling this weekend so I will get the chance to go 4L. Looks like 4H tonight since it's snowing pretty good here right now.
