now I need a lift

I need help with the right lift for my tj, I just got these flares yesterday and decided to install them right away, after the first one was done I saw the space between the tire and the flare and it was tight in there, so I got on top of the front bumper and jumped on it to see if it would hit, and it does. I need a lift to help clear these flares, I haven’t off road yet but eventually I want to do something light not hardcore, I am also on a budget but don’t want to get something that won’t last, also I wouldn’t want to go bigger than a 2” lift. I have already done some search in this forum but I think that every situation is different and I might need a different approach. I could post more pictures if needed

Here's what Quadratec's Lift Advisor recommends for 31" tires:

2" spacer lift ($118) - Teraflex 001341200 - TeraFlex 2" Bugget Boost Lift Kit without Shocks for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec (this is the Teraflex Budget Boost one WITHOUT shocks...since many people say the ones with the shocks included tend to include crappy shocks. So buy that then buy the shocks of your choice.

2" spring lift (Just under $800) - Search Results - Quadratec

I have 31X10.5X15's on mine with a 2" BB and have plenty of clearance. I am looking to get 32's. I do very light wheeling for now but went on my first "wheeling" trip couple of weeks ago and I am HOOKED and want to go bigger eventually. But for what I do now and for the budget the 2" bb would be the way to go unless you have the extra cash to go with the coils.

If I had to put in a 2" lift, this is what I'd do:

Old Man Emu 2" Suspension Systems for 97-02 Jeep® Wrangler TJ - Quadratec

If you have the money go for it. If not you can get a 2"BB on Ebay for like $50

i agree with steven243, go with the old man emu! i installed this exact set last april and it was the best modification i ever did to my jeep. performs excellent on both street and off road (i'm not a huge offroad expert though) - and the yellow shocks look nice, especially with a body in black or dark grey! i've been on 31's this summer, but am planning to go 32' next spring, which i think should not be a problem unless you go crazy rock climbing.

also, i'm kind of digging your location!
