NV3550 Trans fluid Question

Has anyone tried the BG Syncro Shift II transmission fluid in their NV3550? It is a full synthetic 75w-80 with a API of GL-4. I have been running the factory fluid but my BG rep says this will help the slight 1st to 2nd grind I have only when the trans is cold.
