been a onlooker for awhile just joined JWF recently and thank you for all the threads and posts you guys provide with your experience.
I have been researching the latest dilema if you want to call it that with my 98 TJ the fuel filler housing and or Neck if you will has a flapper in it . In front of that flapper it had a small round black piece of plastic with a screw in it sitting sideways when i went to put fuel in the other day. i took my needle nose and pulled it out and cannot find what it is or purpose other than plugging the whole in the metal flapper which your nosel would depress during insurtion for fill up.
I also turned the cap over, it did not apear to belong there either
Anyway have not found a part number or a shematic should anyone know its name and or purpose Im curious, Do i have something now floating around in my tank that the screw went into on the back side of the flapper in the filler hose? Ill take the
just to satify curiousity if im missing the obvious here.
Thank you, Drake
