OE replacement Trac Bar bracket for axle end for the D30?

Need a OE replacement Trac Bar bracket for axle end for the D30 on my TJ. Just had my long arm kit installed last month and I realized the hole is starting to oblong and it's starting to rust through in one spot. IT works for driving around for now, but will need to be replaced before i hit the trails this season. I tried ballistic fab and M.O.R.E. but couldn't find one of these. Anyone have any luck with this?

Thanks!

You can make one pretty easily with some 3/16" plate and a grinder...

Yep if you don't weld, I'd get a local welder to simply beef yours up. It's a very simple thing to do, that's what I did for my last TJ. I was done in probably an hour or 90 minutes from the time I started until I was done and touching it up with fresh rattle can paint.

I'll have to give it a try. Unfortunately i don't have a welder or garage. How did you guys get the shape? hold cardboard up to the axle and make a template out of it? Did you just take the front piece and have him weld it onto the old one?

What if i used quarter inch plate instead? overkill?

It's hard to get it without pics. I'll try to get a pic or two when the rain clears up here.

1/4" is WAY too thick, I'd use 1/8" as a reinforcement or 3/16" as a replacement. I simply welded a piece of 1/8" over the top of the old bracket as a reinforcement. I also tack welded a hardened (Grade 8) flat washer on top of the hole as a further reinforcement.

ok i get what you're saying now. My buddy works @ Rock Krawler here in NY and he did the install. he said he would weld a washer around the hole as a reinforcement but if wouldn't do anything for the rest of it which is prematurely rotting away thanks to the great northeastern use of salt during the winter. Plus he couldn't get behind to weld a washer in the back too. He did put washers on either side of the bolt though, maybe that's helping the hole part? If this rain stops anytime soon I'll have to try to get a few pics of it.
