OEM Fog light Switch for KC's on Hi-Beam Only?

I purchased an OEM Fog light Switch that snaps into the dash panel on a 01 TJ to run the KCís on Hi-Beam only. I made a pigtail and found the wiring diagram for the switch. I connected terminals as follows #1) to dash lights, #2) to relay, #3) to hi-beam, and #4) to ground. Now all works like it is supposed to, KCís only work on hi-beam but, the damn little green light on the switch comes on in lo-beam with switch on and off and goes out in hi-beam with switch on or off. Does anyone out there have an answer for this besides the one I already see coming (remove the bulb). Maybe a second relay? And where? Any help would be appreciated? Thank you.

I'm not familiar with the number of terminals on an OEM switch. The aftermarket switches that I've seen have 3 terminals: hi-beam or low-beam connection, a ground and an output to the relay. I think your connection to the dash lights may be causing your issue. Tell me where you found the wiring diagram and I'll take a look at it.

Ok, try this: #1 to ground, #2 in from hi-beam, #3 to relay and #4 from dash lights. Make sure you use the terminals as they're marked on the switch. Disclaimer applies

Sorry I didn't have a chance to get back on your solution 47MTP. I found several wiring diagrams in this forum about the switch. I did reverse the panel lights and ground and it does just the opposite, the green indicator light comes on in hi-beam w/switch on or off. And the backlit works correctly.

Hook the switch illumination to pin 87.
