off-road kits/tools/necessities

I'm putting together a list of things i should have before i do any major off-roading, and want to know what everyone brings with them.

so far my "kit" includes:
a winch/recovery kit with tow strap, snatch block....
fire extinguisher (size? type?)
highlift jack
a few rotopax fuelpacks, a water pack, and a first-aid pack (if i can find rotopax in canada)
and maybe an ammo can with some basic tools

am i missing anything?

You should get a recovery strap, not a tow strap. They are NOT the same thing.

I have no idea. My uncle bought me a recovery strap that I asked for this past Christmas. But just take a look at it online. And if it doesn't, I know warn and just about every other company sells them. Mine is like 30'x3" and rated for 30,000 lbs I think.
