What weight oil do you use? I just learned my dealer has been running 5 w20 semi syn. For a while now. Is this bad?

I use 5w-30 winter and 10w-30 summer, full synthetic. Running conventenal, semi-synthetic or full synthetic is your choice. I run full synthetic because of the fuel savings, lower operating temps., ease of start-up (especially in the winter).

I use Schaffer's oil when I can get it. If I can't get to the local supplier, I usually use Mobil 1. You may want to consider using a full synthetic at least in the winter.

I don't use synthetic, but I don't think its a good idea to switch back and forth.

10w-30 is preferred. 5w-30 for colder climates.

I run 10w-30 dino. Current mileage 194k.

10w-30 year-round (South Florida, so it's always over 50 degrees). Full synthetic Royal Purple w/ accompanying filter: tried it once and the 'butt dyno' noticed an improvement, plus it comes in pretty purple bottles, lol!
