Oil grade question

I just recently bought a 2003 jeep wrangler x and I was wondering what oil grade I should use. I checked my owner's manual but I didn't see anything. Oh and what type of oil is the best?

Should say on the oil filer cap on the motor, if not check the dipstick as well.

Thats why I didn't say a specific wieght. It varries from year to year and motor to motor.

A lot of newer vehicles are going with 5w-20 instead of 10w-40 like osme older ones.

Just check the filler cap, or call a local parts store that can look up info like that.
