Oil Pressure Gauge Problems

so I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler SE 4 Cylinder 5 Speed. The oil pressure gauge pretty much doesnt work. I replaced the sending unit, and it got better than before, but it still doesnt read correctly, or even work some times, what do i do?

It could be a weak oil pump. I had a Cherokee that had right at 200,000 miles on it when I bought the oil pressure gauge barley read 12 psi cruising and went to about 3 psi idling when hot. I put a new oil pump in it to be safe and it started reading 40 psi at an idle and about 55 psi cruising. For what an oil pump and oil pan gasket cost it is cheap insurance if your jeep has over 100,000 miles on it.

Had my oil pressure checked and it's fine... The gauge just does not move!! Wondering if it could be a computer problem?

I would say it is a bad guage. Just go buy a aftermarket sun pro guage from an autoparts store for $35 and wire it up.
