Oil Pressure Sending Unit

I just bought a 2000 jeep wrangler and the oil pressure is maxed out all of the time. Is it hard to change an oil pressure sending unit?

very easy its just above the oil filter, it has a little clip disconnect then wrench it off. 5 minute job, whenever i change them i always change the oil first then change the sending unit!!

Just picked one up from advance auto...doesn't look like a wrench off. Looks like a screw on. Anyone got a picture of what this should look like?

I replaced the sending unit in my YJ, and had to use a wrench to break it loose. It is a plastic unit with a metal end that has flat edges to grip onto. Once it breaks loose, simply unscrew with your hand and reverse the steps.

If you bought it from Advanced keep the slip and the box. They are cheap but you may have to return it under the warranty. I put 3 of them on daughters Jeep in 1 year. I'm guessing they had trouble with GP Sorensen sensors. HTH
