Stay away from semis and blends if you truly want synthetic. Quaker State makes a full synthetic 75W-140 (for example). I would stick with the Major Brands as to knowing what you are getting. Most reputable products have technical data sheets available on line so you can compare properties.

HECK no, do not put 85W-140 in the transmission!

Use either 10W-30 synthetic motor oil, Royal Purple Synchromax, Redline MT-90, whatever Amsoil's equivilent to RP Synchromax is, or a GL-3 or GL-4 75W-90 which is what Redline's MT-90 is. While there are a few synthetic GL-5 75W-90 gear lubes like from Royal Purple and Amsoil that are safe for use in a manual transmission, most GL-5 gear lubes should never be used in a manual transmission.

sorry jerry didnt undersand. i can say one thing is that we do not have royal purple oe amsoil here. Does mopar have anything to go in the manual tranny? and diffs? if not then we have mobil1, castrol, bp? those are the known ones others are locally made.

Here's a Castrol listing of products: Castrol USA - Complete Product Listing

With your automatic transmission you will need ATF+4. Check your Owner Manual on that. If it says ATF+3, then ATF+4 is the updated fluid. Also ATF+4 in the transfer case.
Castrol makes a ATF+4 http://www.castrol.com/castrol/secti...tentId=7027046
