Ok, I need help with fold and tumble seat repair...

In typical fashion, I pulled my seat last fall and pulled the cable. Then I figured out that it's much easier to load kids and groceries without it in when the top is on, so I left it out. Now I have a new cable to fix it with, but of course I don't remember how the old cable was routed...
I've read the write up on 4x4xplore, but it doesn't show how to route the cable.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks, Linda

It really doesn't matter how it is routed as long as it is connected properly at both ends. Route any way you like. I used a bike cable for mine after dealing with it not working for a few years.

I pulled my seat out last week to see what was up with the cable. I gave up and put it back in after trying in vain to get the upholstery off.

I can't remember how to connect the cable to the mechanism.....
I got the connection under the seat easy, but then where does it go on the part that releases it?

Darn!

I should remember this since it was only a few weeks ago, but I can't. I think it was near the hinge where the seat folds. I just remember it was a PITA to thread the new cable through the stock sleeve.

Ok, thanks. I guess I'll just have to see if we can figure it out.... Either that or I'll just remain seatless forever....
