Wranglers are notorious for fuel pump problems. Check to see if the fuel pump relay is getting hot. I had the same problem with mine and what would happen is the fuel pump would draw too many amps, causing the relay to overheat and shut down. After the relay cooled of for a few moments the jepp would fire right back up and go again for a while before quitting again.

What typically happens is the fuel pump's check valve, actually the main check valve is located in the fuel pressure regulator mounted just above the fuel pump, starts leaking and the fuel that is supposed to remain up in the engine instead is allowed to drain back down through the leaky check valve and back into the fuel tank. The long start time after it has been sitting a while is from how long it takes the fuel pump to get the fuel back up into the engine again.

It is an easy repair but the gas tank does need to be dropped to get to the fuel pressure regulator that sits outside of the tank, on top of the fuel pump that is inside the gas tank.

I missunderstood the question. I thought it was quitting after 20 minutes of driving. I agree that it sounds like the regulator. But try putting a new relay in before you go thru the trouble of dropping the tank. My buddies was doing the same thing and his turned out to be just a relay starting to go bad.
