Definitely bumper #2. Chrome tubular bumpers are totally passe and also present problems with mounting tow hooks or a winch.

Seriously though, I agree that the stinger looks lame too. I got one from a guy that makes them. Bolted it right up to my stock bumper with grade 8 bolts. Very strong. Here's a link: Red Jeep Club Lifted Red Jeep Pictures Bumper Hoop Grille Guards 4x4 Utah Rock Crawling Trails

The chrome will work well for picking the meat from your braces.

Look at those two bumpers the chrome looks like lips saying "meet me at the mall , we can do Starbucks."
The black is saying " I'm gonna slap ya aside of yo head, then take you for a ride."

Not a big fan of either . . . I'd have to go with #2, but I'd want to chop that lame looking wannabe stinger off of it.

The black bumper's wimpy looking stinger didn't faze me, that can be cut off or left off if it is bolted on. The chrome bumper's tubular design makes the mounting of even tow hooks a problem (impossible) which relegates it pretty much to pure mall duty.

these bumpers can say all they want, but i tell ya neither is gonna provide any sort of worthwhile protection on the trails or against the rocks. the chrome is gonna get all bent up and that stinger looks like it will snap from a gust of wind.

The tube one looks better but it less practical (hard to install winch on particularly this one), the stinger is uglier IMHO but the bumper itself is better. Mine is tube with winch cut out and black painted.

Here's the thing, what looks better? The black one. What one would I go with? Well probably the black one. Mine came with the chrome tube bumper, it looks early 90s Hasselhoff gay, but I won't change it. Simply because I take it out on the trail and it beats down every bush and tree limb I need it to. I love it because it takes a bruising and to clean it is nothing more then some vinegar and tin foil. I know if I spent $300 on a new bumper I'd be a total pussmuffin and watch what I'm running over, but with this its like no worries. But it looks totally gay.

Chrome = ugly
Stinger = ugly, but removeable. Go with #2, but nix that little wanna-be stinger.
