Old man emu

So i am looking for a lift. I searched all over this site for information on Old man Emu And as i understand it OME are good but aren't necessarily considered a lift but raise the jeep about 2 inches is that true?
Does anyone have experience with OME and can tell me more?

My jeep is my daily driver so don't want to lift it to much but want it to perform better offroad too.

No, OME has up to 5" lift springs. The main attribute that OME is credited with from the daily driver crowd is for their comfortable riding shocks.

First though what tire size do you want to run and what is the budget for this project?

Honestly a 2" would be fine for 31's, but if you want to plan your lift for 33's in the future then I'd go with a 3" off the bat.

I have read just about everything on here and on-line about shocks. I really want to go with a great set for replacement. I like what I have read about OME, really not alot of people that are not happy with the purchase. People love them for the ride quality, and on a daily driver again from what I read I think you would be happy. It is like anything else, depends what you want to do with your Jeep. I haven't decided yet but they are definetly in my top five list of possibilities. You really get what you pay for with shocks it seems.

RE7002 - TJ/LJ 3.5" STANDARD SYSTEM - Rubicon Express

this one is good and youll look real good with the 31s and properly back spaced will run 33s with some triming or new flares. and if you want more flex you can upgrade with out throwing away any of the parts you already have

That kit is designed for 33's, not for 31's.

If you want to stick with 31's get the OME HD 2.5" kit and don't look back. One of the best riding kits available.

33s with triming and proper back spacing. 31s will work to and give you the full range. id think 32s will work perfect with out having to mess with triming

OME 2 1/2" , a 1" body lift and a MML. Just about perfect for 33" tires (w. 4.10 gearing). It's even better if you add a TT.

Squeeze me, but what does the OP mean by OME "aren't necessarily considered a lift" ?

I had an OME lift with 32's and loved the way it looked and rode. I have 32's now with just a RE spacer lift and i am thinking about going with the OME lift and then when the 32's wear out adding a in body lift and going with 33's.

I dont think you will be disapointed with anything OME.

I'm running 31's without a lift.
