old man emu shock, need springs??

i have some old man emu shocks and am looking for some springs. this is on a 97 tj the springs that are in the jeep are saging , so i want to replace them.i ordered a set from them and they lowered the jeep allmost a inch. so that is not going to work.

the front shocks are n66l
the rear shocks are n67l

would i be able to use the 4" lift spring or some other companys?

thanks shawn

a friend has these OME L shocks with 3.5" RE springs and the ride is very good. in real they give 4.25" of lift on his rig.

you can't order just 4" lift springs. or even just 3" springs alone. you'll need more than that. you can buy 2" coils and all you need is the proper length shocks and maybe a tcase drop.

btw, i have rustys 2" coils and like them

You need a tcase drop. Front and rear track bar relocation brackets or new track bars and new shocks. Control arms are not required nor is cv and sye kit.

I've been running my 4" kit for about half a year now with a tcase drop and no problems, no vibes either.

i have the 2" lift from old man emu . the shocks , panhard bar,t case drop, and what ever else is in the kit. the thing is i thought it was saging in the rear. i ordered the heavy duty coils. so i measured it defore i put the front ones in and it lowered it by an inch, that makes me think i could get awy with useing the 4" coils.because it would only rase it another 1"

if that make any sense? let me know what you guy think?

thanks shawn

4" coils are gonna lift your jeep 4" more than stock. so no you can't get away with it.

when i put my 2'' coils on my jeep.. before i put any kind of spacers on.. i put on new swaybar endlinks in the rear and front discos for 2-4'' of lift.. before i did this i drove it like 2 weeks and after i installed the extended sb endlinks my jeep didnt sway soo much..

when i added 1'' bb spacers, then later on my 1.25'' acos spacers, i needed an adjustable trackbar and rear trackbar drop bracket.. i NEED new control arms to recenter my axles.. but im fine without it right now.. its on my list of things to get my jeep this summer..

and my tj isnt my dd.. ive only put 1k miles on it since i lifted it a little over a year ago

i have 4.5-4.75 of lift (2.5" OME coils + 2" spacers) and it works fine with the stock CAs.
the only disadvantage is that i could flex a bit better with adj. CAs.
but on the road and for moderate offroading it´s ok.

for me this amount of flex is enough (with stock CAs, stock front trackbar and rear OME trackbar bracket, JKS front discos and rear adj. end links):

yes really.. id have to drive it first..

ive put 50 miles on my jeep since i put the acos on.. and that was in december..

like i said.. im fine without them..

plus im running 3.25'' of actual suspension lift.. not enough to really hurt it.. the full traction 3'' lift gives more of a lift than whats on my jeep.. and it doesnt come lower cas

without the cas tho.. my tires are sucked in towards the center of my jeep.. making my wheelbase shorter than what it should be.. its only like an inch per axle.. but enough to notice it by eye
