Olympic Roof Rack: No Basket?

Has anyone seen this Olympic Dave's Rack that doesn't come with a basket. It's on Craigslist, cheap $125. I kind of want to get it but not sure, I've never seen one of those without the basket. Wondering if there is an issue with it.... I'm guessing for the price, it couldn't hurt. Guy says he's only had it a year.

Thanks for the help.

It's $799 in Qtec with the basket...
for $125 you can have someone make a lightweight basket and still beb $$$ ahead...

Olympic doesn't appear to be the beat quality, but $125 is a decent price. Do a search and you can find reasonable racks to fit it. I had my racks fabricated. It's expensive, but light nd string as hell.

Thanks all for info. I talked to the guy yesterday and he said he bought it new without the rack??? Odd, anyway, he's gonna take $100 for it. Good deal I think. Can always flip it if doesn't work out.

Ok, so just picked up the bargain rack yesterday, $100. It looks as if the guy I bought it from, although he didn't say when I asked, or a PO if he bought it used, cut the basket off. There's no existing holes to bolt on a new rack, but figure I can find something inexpensive to U-bolt on or have something simple welded on.

It looks like the Olympic Sport rack, but it is a Dave's Gen II rack. I guess I could have something made so I can mount a Jack and some gas cans....
