OME HD front springs - not available ???

Hi,

four weeks ago I ordered many things at www.german4wheelcenter.com (in colorado springs). One of the things is an OME 2.5" HD suspension.
He has everything there, but he says that he has problems to get the front HD springs. His wholesale dealer (Transamerican) says that they do everything to get the springs, but ARB USA has a problem to deliver them.
Is that right?
Can you tell me where i can get a pair of OME HD front spings at the moment?

Thanks in advance.
nicolas-eric

I asked. There is a good possibility that ARB is back ordered on all their coils. Do you know the part numbers you are after?

Well I will tell you that Transamerica is one of the largest 4x4 parts wholesalers in the country and if they can't get it then odds are it is on back order with the manufacturer.

that sounds like what i was told. i had the feeling that my dealer doesn´t tell me the truth, that´s why i started this thread.

my dealer can´t get the OME933 HD front springs. the OME942 rear springs and the shocks are no problem.

btw. i tried to order at DPG, but dirk wrote that he can´t ship to germany.

That's good that you found someone to ship that far. What kind of shipping charges do you get shipping that far??

Pssssst......

But I'm sure that he didn't even come close to beating out Trans for total sales to ARB.

Oh, and isn't OME the only product Dirk pushes for TJ's?

the price incl. shipping is about 15% less than the price at quadratec or 4wd.com.

i pay about 1400$ incl. shipping for the ome suspension, front jks disconnetcs, rear jks longer end links, SS brake lines, white bilnkers/sidemarkers, a roughcountry winch plate and a set of maintenence parts like filters and brake parts.

only the OME suspension costs 1600 $ here at the german stealership.

Dirk has the whole ARB line up. You can't walk around here without stubbing your toe on something ARB. There are 2 Bull Bars sitting out in the shop waiting for customers to pick them up.

Geez, as big as those things are I'm surprised you all even have room to move with them in the shop.

Oh, and just an editors note. Looking at what I said on the previous post I was not intending to talk smack on Dirk. He seems to run a good business. I was just trying to show how big Transamerica really is.

Haha. No problem. If I know anything it would definitely be that any person in this industry will sell you almost anything. Even if you don't need it.

Dirk has ran into red tape at ever turn trying to ship something across the big ponds. Not that he doesn't want to just that shipping you something 3 times and you don't get it has its penalties on a persons sanity. LOL!!

dirk had problems on shipping parts to europe?
tell him to try http://www.schenker.com
i shipped dozens of things (apple computers, car parts, etc) with them from the US to germany. and it only took 4-6 days.

i know many people here that would buy from him because of his very good prices...

Nicolas. My company is one of the largest UPS customers in the US. We have had numerous problems shipping product over seas and have even contemplated policies to not ship anymore. Any of our product that gets stopped in customs and sent back we have to pay a fee for that.

I can understand a small establishment not wanting to ship overseas because the process can become very arduous and expensive.

However maybe you should talk to Dirk over the phone next time and he can have something drop shipped for you directly from Austrailia?

with the correct documents there are no problems at the customs.
but if there aren´t the right documents placed outside the package the german customs will send everything back.
that´s why i organice the shipping from the US to me most of the time. i always do it with the company i named above (the biggest european logistic company). they tell the US dealers which documents are needed for the customs. i never had problems on shipping things to me.

The problem that Dirk probably has is that ARB has a contract with a Company (Taubenreuther) in Germany, that says they have the exclusive rights on ARB products in Germany. If Dirk sells to Germany he might get into trouble.

yes, this company has a contract with ARB. it´s one of 4 companies here in europe that has the right to sell ARB products.
but that does not say that other US companies aren´t allowed to ship ARB products to europe. it does only say that no other companies here in europe are allowed to sell ARB products.
p.e. quadratec and 4wd.com ship ARB products to europe and didn´t´get any trouble.
