OME Ultimate LJ

Can I see some pics of anyone that's got the DPG Offroad OME Ultimate lift kit on their LJ with 33" tires? Thanks.

Hey cjarmst,

Not the DPG Offroad OME Ultimate Kit, but 4" OME spring lift w/ 33's on our LJ.

Regards, Hamshog

Not the DPG Ultimate, and not a LJ, but a OME 2.5HD with 1.25 BL and 1in MML on 33's, full Savvy arms.

I didn't order from DPG, but I built my own "ultimate" OME kit with 934/949 springs

This is the look I am after myself. I just got a great deal on 33x12.5x15 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZs and need to lift it to get them on. How does it ride?

@Huelsmma once I get mine lifted and installed I will let you know how it went. Having a hard time determining what lift to use. These both are good options but I need simple as well. I plan to install myself and reading the DPG Ultimate write-ups, it seems that I could do that myself. Since the kit comes complete, I think I will go that route. I spoke too soon. I ended up getting a BDS 3" and it I being installed this weekend.

I have taken my 04 Sport out several times on stock everything and had a blast. They actually work well right out of the box. Now I have read this as well as many other threads and I ended up going with the 3" BDS kit with the 5500 shocks. Other than what came with the base kit, I added a front steering stabilizer from BDS. It is being installed now and should be done tomorrow. I talked with my local dealer who has experience with these and told me they hold up well. I am not going to do anything extreme on purpose and felt for me, this gave me the best for the buck. I will let you know my thoughts after getting it back.

I was not comfortable installing myself, nor did I have the tools, time or a friend that I know that could help. My local dealer was great to walk me through several choices and never really badmouthed anything.

I appreciate all the dialog here as it helped me as well.

Got the Jeep back today and it looks and drives great. Only one day but I drove about 75 miles total. I will keep you updated on the outcome after more time with it, but initial feedback I have is great. I measured and with the tires and the Lift installed, I am now sitting about 5 3/4" higher than before as measured by the wheel wells I took before and after. You can see the before in my Avatar so it is an amazing difference. I will try and get a more detailed write-up but here is the first picture.

Yes, 33x12.50x15. It was a toss up between the KM2's and the MTR's for me.

How do you like the km2's? What was your reason for picking them over MTR?

I had the old style MTR's previously and wanted to try a difference brand. So far they have been quiet for a mud terrain tire.
