One More 30" To 31" ?

First, thanks to everyone for answering my speedo gear question, Iam just going to leave it alone.

Is it ok for me to just keep my 30" tire for a spare? If I can, I can save $10.00 on the mounting and I do not have to buy a new spare tire cover which is a little more costly.

If I can are there any precautions that I have to take if I should ever need to use it?

Thanks again, Scooby

well don't depend on me
but I think it will be fine (as long as you don't drive on it to long)
my buddy has 33's and has a 30 spare, it was hilarious to see it on the road, but it still worked
I have 32's and a 30 spare

I would not suggest driving above 25 MPH on a mismatched tire size. If you absolutely have to use it, put the spare in the back not the front.

Spend the extra $10. Save some gas and just do not drive 30 miles. Do it right....do it once.

I'd spend the extra $$$ for five 31" tires. That way you can do 5-way rotations and get some use out of the spare instead of it being a tail-end ornament. And if you have a Tracloc LSD in the rear, you can't run a different size tire on one side without damaging it.
