Whats with all the hate against chrome? I like it, and its one of the reasons I got a jeep in the first place. All this blacking out just feels like a trend to me.

I remember the days when I wanted all the chrome accessories back when I bought mine in '00. I'm glad I could never afford it with the payments I had to make on the Jeep. Mine has been all black for a long time but I'm starting to add a lot of aluminum. My wife asked me just yesterday if I was going to paint my aluminum gas tank skid black. I told her I was thinking of getting the polishing compound out and buffing it to a mirror finish along with the control arms and do the same for the aluminum skid I'm thinking of getting

That sounds pretty sweet. I just liken painting perfectly good chrome black to when people paint gorgeous hard wood in their homes. But it is what it is :-)

I dont know if its just the angle of the pics, but is the tubing blocking your fogs?

The fogs are a little too big for that bumper, I've got to get some newer ones in. Any suggestions on lights?

How did you get the chrome gas cap inset out to paint it? I can get the screws off but I can't get it past the plastic ring that keeps my gas cap attached to the body.

I removed the chrome plate and the black original was in decent shape so I didn't paint it

Looks infinitely better IMO. Why someone would add that much chrome is beyond me. Lose the tube steps and you're golden... I removed the running board on my rig love the look... Will be adding some sliders shortly.

I think you're right about that... One wanting to look like the other one.. Like the saggy britches fad. "I want more of my butt to show than you have showing!"

Looking good. You'll love the Duratracs. I just got mine about a month ago and have put about 1000 miles on them.

Bumper came in today. My only problem is that my 6" KC fogs wont fit. Will have to find a slimmer fog.

Your Jeep looks much better now. I ended up just replacing most of the chrome instead of painting. Looks tons better. About the only thing left to replace on mine is the Dick Cepek wheels with some nice black ones. I also plan on plasti dipping my faded flares.
