Opinions on Smittybilt soft tops ???

Was generally shopping and looking around for when it's time to purchase a new soft top for my TJ, and ran across the Smittybilt. I had planned on another Bestop, like whats on now..but Smittybilt seems quite a bit less $$$. It did have some positive reviews online, but you never know about those. Is it a case of you get what you pay for ? Real world experience is always preferrable ?

thanks

I'm in the same situation. Looking for a new top, just don't know which one to chose.

Thin fabric and made in China as all Smittybilt products are. I saw a recent photo of one after being installed and it was wrinkled from a poor fit.

I had to replace my factory top this winter an I got the smitty with tinted windows. I personally have had no issues with the top. The guy about saying it was wrinkled, it says to lay the top out a day before you install it so it can undo itself cause it's crammed into a box.

Back to the top, I have no problems with it. I love it and it moved and installed very easily. I have pics if you like.

I have the smitty top on mine. It came on it when I bought it and it appears to be nearly new. The top has no wrinkles but the back window zipper sucks. It comes apart around the corner when I put it in. I am going to have a local shop replace it soon so I can use it this winter. It does not seem too thin compared to other tops I have seen. I would look for something else because of the zipper issue.
