tj guys will know more, but the d44 rear axle has a metal plug in it, not a black rubber plug. pull cover and count teeth on ring gear, and on pinion gear, then divide, and that's your ratio, 3.07, 4.10 or whatever
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president." http://mybroadband.co.za/photos/data...re_cowbell.gif
D30 in the front , D35 if it has a plastic fill plug , D44 if it is metal fill plug - theres a tag on the diff cover that will tell you gear ratio , if that tag is not there jack up the rearend spin the tire slowly and count the revolutions of the pinion/driveshaft that will get you close-3 revs=3.07 almost 4 revs=3.73 4 revs= 4.11

Also, if you are fairly sure the Jeep is still all factory equipment, any dealer can pull a build sheet using your vin number. There is probably a simple way to do it online, but I have no link.. anyone?
