Ordered my lift!

Ordered my lift today from DPG OFFROAD. Highly recommend anybody that's going to buy a lift to call there. Spoke with Dirk for a good 45 minutes. Spent a little more money than I wanted to but I'm very happy and, like I said, highly recommend the place for anyone looking to call there. Very helpful and friendly service!! Pics to come when it's shipped and installed.

Great choice! You won't be sorry.

I still can't believe how nice my jeep rides.

OME lift is costing me a bunch in fuel though. I can't quit driving it.

"Oh Honey, I'll go to the store and get some milk for you.". Lol

Can't wait for turkey hunting this weekend to get it off-road.

Oh, and BTW, just found out today I drew a left over archery elk bull tag!! YES!!!

Yea I think the only thing i was disappointed in was that there are some items that may be on back order. Wish I had any patience at all...

Yeah, that was a bummer for me too. JKS was held up for a bit. I kinda lost my patience too.

What lift did you buy?
Size?
Manufacturer?
Cost?

Give us some before and afters pics
I'm bought ready to order a Skyjacker 2 inch spacer lift, wishing I had more monies to spend on a coil lift.

I ordered the ultimate old man emu TJ kit
Upgraded to the nitro shocks and motor mounts.
I'll get about 2.5in of lift without the 1.25" body lift that comes in the kit. I plan on leaving the body lift off until I upgrade to bigger tires.
I paid about 1400 maybe for the complete kit. Comes with quick disconnects, adj track bars bump stop ext, adj sway bars. All kinds of goodies.

tjae, what size are your tires? i have 31x10.50 mickey thompson bajaw claws and i wanted to get a 2 inch pro comp suspension lift but i'm afraid i will have to much fender well and it will not look good. i may have 200 miles on the tires and they are only a week old. what are your reccomendations? i do want the bilstein 5600 series shocks.

01tjray,

I have 31" tires right now. A 2" lift is perfect for 31" tires. My lift gave me 2 1/2" and I think it looks great.

I don't have experience with Bilstein shocks, but from what I've read, they are great shocks. Just make sure you buy the one's tuned for your TJ.

Hope that helps.

tjae - what year is your sahara? And, did you do a t-case drop? If so, how much did you drop?

I also have the Ultimate Kit on order. JKS stuff & Brown Dog MM are here but still waiting on all the OME stuff to arrive. I have 31's also and plan to wait on the MML & Body Lift til later, which is why I'm curious how much t-case drop was required in your case?

Thanks!

I used 5 - 1/2" flat washers per bolt, and the vibes went away. With 3, I still had a little vibe. All jeeps are different though. You may only need 3.

My TJ is a 2000. I was very fortunate in finding her a couple years ago. 68k miles, dual tops, soft top had never been used. Also, had a stack of service tickets from the dealer. I just love that thing!

Thanks Tjae. I understand all Jeeps are different but just trying to soak up what other similar setups require. I have 98' Sahara w/ 31's and will be using the same kit so I thought you'd be a good reference/starting point.

Did you do the install yourself?

Oh I'm well aware of it being worth it. Just very impatient haha. just ready to be done with the mods for a while (yea right). I can try to tell myself that. We all know it never ends! Lift will be the last major mod for a little bit. At least that is more towards the truth!

I'm sorry Lyons38, I missed your comment.

Yes, I installed it myself, by myself. Lol. I thought I had friends.

Since I live in Phoenix, taking things apart was a piece of cake, so my install was a lot easier than others.
