Over-head Console ?

Hey Guys I bought a tuffy over-head console for 50$ from a great jeep mechanic I know it was originally 250$ it wasn't in the best of shape so i put some acetone on it and it cleaned right up. I then spray painted it black and now it looks great but my question is I have the 2 compartments on there and I was thinking about putting the CB Radio in the front one... I just wanted to see some pics of someone who has done this and how they wired the intenna wire to the back... let me know.

Thanks,
Bignuke

We don't know how to take the trim off... it's weather stripping.

I ran mine over the top and inside the foam of the rack, down the passenger side, underneath the door trim and thence to the glove box where I had installed a junction box. Also, the compartment will not tolerate a Cobra Model 29 -- the old, large, style, as the door won't close. So, use a smaller unit, or leave the door open as I do.

do you have these wires going to the fuse panel behind the glove box, or direct to the battery?

BIGnuke -

i like that set up with the wire loom around the windshield.

BTW- i have my cb mounted on my roll cage, just overhead about where yours will sit.
i tried to just tuck my power wire into the weather stripping, but to no avail, it didnt stay for long, and now its all sticky from the gunk thats used to adhere the stripping.

im gonna steal your idea, and use some wire loom and black tape !

thanks!

im honestly kinda dumb when it comes to electrical stuff, but isnt it better to wire this to the fuse panel?? and then best option would be straight to the battery?

I can't remember the radio right atm i'll have to check tomorrow, but i'm not sure about the cigarette lighter, my dad is doing it. I didn't think it was a good idea either... I'll talk to him about and see what's a better option.
