Paint my Canyons Matte Black?

Passed up some black steelies a few weeks ago but personally I love the style of the Canyons. They are starting to look a little rough with some staining and streaks that just won't come off. I have looked through threads countless times at other Canyons that are painted black. It has been eating me up trying to make a decision. Weather is supposed to be warm here for the next week or so in the 70's so I thought this weekend may be a good project if I decide to do this. Thoughts?

Personal preference. I like black. Use rust oleum bed liner. Very easy to use and touch up.

I hear ya. I feel like maybe it's because my top isn't black.

I think it may be the Wrangler sticker and the US flag for some reason throws it off to me. But I'm weird with details so I may just be crazy or something.

A little photoshopping getting rid of flag, making factory decals black, and getting rid of Wrangler decal on the hood.

I am not a fan of all black wheels either, but I do like the look of black with some silver/chrome to it. So when I painted mine I left a little rim.
And I also agree with ellman605 yours does look better with the non painted.

Guess I could always use Plasti Dip and peel it off if I hate it.

I think it all depends on your set up. Not all black rims look goid with certain colors. Black and matte seem to be the in thing now with rims. My jeep is green with a black soft top, agate interior, and bedlined hood and flares. I went with the black rims cause I like the "dark" look of it. The center cap and lugs are chrome/silver so it breaks it up a little. I was originally going to make it look like a Willy's ( still may ) but like the way it is now. I originally had chrome/silver canyons on it and it look nice. I should have just painted them black cause I like the way they look.
