Paint project

Sooo I recently bought a '98 sahara and the rear and front bumpers, mirrors, pretty much all the black parts on the jeep are faded and look more grey than black. I decided to paint them all and I'm also thinking about painting the tan hard top and make it black as well.

I bought the things I need:
1- 60 grit sand paper and steel wool
2 - acetone
3- masking paper and tape
4- 6 cans of satin black rustoleum

I'm planning on doing it this Wednesday since it'll be sunny "hopefully". Anyone care to share any advice before I start??

That pretty much looks like what I'd do.

60 grit sandpaper sounds a little aggressive. If the surface paint is ok you just need to scuff it. I would not paint over anything less than 400 grit, unless you want to see all the scratches from sanding. The hardtop I would just use a red scotchbrite pad cuz you want to leave the textured finish.
