Major improvement. I can't believe. How much a little paint did. I couldn't stand the cheap chrome look. What do you all think?

Looks good, you'll be painting the grill next.

I re sprayed my flares as well. I'm a little nervous about painting my grill. I think I might leave it like this for awhile. Do you have pics of yours?

I found a grill pic for you (on this post), and if you use plasti-dip, which comes in a spray can, you can peel it off if you decide you don't like it!

Oh, I like the red. Pops nicely.

I initially resisted painting mine black b/c I thought they'd give the Jeep a 'racoon' look, but was quite happy with it after deciding to make the plunge. Even the GF (who's generally disinterested my tinkerings) said they looked dramatically better in black.

The black around the lights looks really good. DONT paint the grill. To each his (or her) own but that doesn't look good IMO. But then I absolutely HATE black rims so......

If you don't like the black grill you can just peel it off. It only cost about 10 bucks and takes about an hour.

I painted mine and the ring that hold the bulb in and the grill. I didn't want any bling up front

I think blacked out bezels make a WORLD of difference....

Another subtle painting is the retaining rings on the headlamps.... makes a cool difference! A quick shot with Rustoleum after a scuff with a 3M pad...

before and after..

Did my headlight bezels about a week ago with some krylon spray paint. Couldnt take the Fake chrome either.

Not sure I wanna do the grill too, but its in my mind.

How does the Plasti-dip stuff hold up with washes? Does it have a texture to it?

Also thinking of doing the middle of the hood as well. Think that looks awesome!

I just installed grill inserts like these. How do you get to the hood latch on yours?

I bought the black bezel about 5 yrs ago and their still perfect. A buddy of mine didn't want to spend the $30 bucks for them so he has since spray bombed his bezels at least a dozen or so times from chipping costing about $50 in paint.

Yes, black flows with most. Everything on my jeep was black, except for the chrome headlight trim rings, lug nuts and wheels. So, trim rings and wheels went to the dark side. Left lug nuts and center caps left alone.
