Painting

I'm contemplating getting my dark blue TJ painted to a lighter blue, I love that look on a Jeep. Plus, seeing a few rust spots, I want to try and catch it before it's much worse. Can anyone share their experience with this? is it worth it and how much should I expect to pay? Also, did you have the interior done to match if you changes colors?

That my friend ~~~ Is an open ended question !!

Simple answer is --- any where from a couple of a
hundred dollars to even several thousand dollars.

Factors to consider
quality of Prep work
quality of Materials used
as well as the quality of the Painter himself.

First off, thank you for adressing the question I had in regards to the work and not the color.

For the most part, this would be done to address the spot rust that I'm seeing on the body now. I've already stripped the frame and POR15'd it. I want to do my best to preserve this TJ for a long time. So with that said, I guess I'd be on the few thousand dollar side!

I suggest this color. It is called Canyon Blue. This job cost cost $1,700 5 years ago. As for the interior, I would use a bed liner. There are several to choose from.

If you look at bta2011's avatar....those colors are pretty close. Being the PO of the afore mentioned jeep...I've always loved that color. I say go for it!

I'd say YOUR most likely REAL CLOSE to the Neighborhood of
the $2500 to $3500 dollar mark then.
If all you have are minor rust spots, NO BODY DAMAGE aside
from minor Door / Parking Lot Dings, and Rock Chips that is.
Now, that would be OUTSIDE PAINTING ONLY, no Jambs or
Interior Painting. UNLESS YOU were to do the Interior Striping /
re-installation, then the inside could be included for a very
small fee of about $500.
The quality of the job should be at least of the quality of the
photo that you refer to.

BTW --- NICE BLUE, (for whatever it's worth)
