parking brake handle

Just bought a 97. The parking break handle functions, but it looks like some sort of animal has chewed the end off. I hope it was just a dog. Anyways. There are a couple on ebay, the whole assembly. Anyone know how difficult this is to install. The dealer still has the jeep until Friday, installing a hitch and radio and a few other things. Just figured i'd get a head start onit.
Thanks, Steven

Apparently those things are tasty cause mine was chewed up when I bought it too. Got mine off Ebay and had no problem installing it. Took maybe 30 minutes. Remove the center console and it's just bolted to the floor.

I had mine replaced in my XJ by the dealer, the part was if I remember right about $90 or so, install was another $35. Mine popped the button off so I took the old one and made a new button out of aluminum and epoxied the thing in, I still have it hanging from my rafters in case the other one decides to launch the button too.. Looking at it right now, looks like 3 bolt holes, one front one rear and one off to one side on a tab. Then it attaches to the U where the cables come together.
