Parking lot fun

It has been said many times that Jeeps stick together in parking lots, but I never got to see it in action until this morning.

Somehow I found myself in a McDonald's grabbing a bite for breakfast, and I decided to just sit by the window and eat. I was looking outside at my Jeep in the parking lot when I saw a silver TJ pulling into the lot. Looked like a husband and wife, with the wife at the wheel. The lot was fairly empty with only my Jeep and two other cars at the time. The other TJ driver pulled into a spot about 4 down from me, and then she spotted my Jeep, backed out of her spot, and drove down next to me and parked!

It was cool to see the Jeep togetherness in action!

Joe

I do that all the time too. I'll be going to a movie or dinner or something and look for a spot near another Jeep. Makes me feel good to share that spot with a fellow Jeeper, even if they don't know recognize or appreciate it.

I try to park next to another Jeep unless it's totally out of my intended parking location...but if I see one and it's got parking spaces open around it, I'll usually park next to it.

I went into the movies one night and found a TJ and parked near it came out to find he had left... and a JK had taken his spot (we were close to the end of the parking lot too!) Gotta love the community!

I parked next to another TJ at Lowe's a couple months ago. Wasn't even thinking the Jeep thing when I did it, when I looked back I saw 2 golden retrievers that could have been brothers sitting proudly in 2 TJ's. Funniest thing was they were both in the drivers seats. Wish I would've had my camera!

There can be an open spot right next to the door, but if there's a jeep parked 100 feet farther out, I'll pull in next to it. My wife just laughs and shakes her head. She understands though. A few times of parking in a lot with no "company" and coming out to find 1 or more Jeeps around mine got the point across.

i always try and park next to/in front of a jeep. i was getting coffee a few weeks back and blew past a parked yellow jeep. i backed up like 30 yards just to park near it. i once came out of the grocery store and found a rubicon,a TJ and a Cherokee all around my jeep.i was on the phone with my girlfriend and as i was telling her this the Rubicon guy heard me and started to laugh.i just smiled and waved.

I'll admit this i dont really park next to other jeeps... not that crazy.. lol.. plus people hate when i park next to them anyway.. 9 times out of 10 my jeeps full of mud.. I remember i was walking out to my jeep a few days ago and some woman was putting her kids in her mini van and fell backwards and brushed against my jeep... a day after i had went muddin... All you heard was a bif f***************************k throughout the whole parking garage.... So funny...

Here we go after happy hour at the tilted kilt. Packed parking lot but jeeps find a way to huddle.

I will park next to another Jeep unless it's entirely out of the way. But, given the choice of a empty spot up close or one always back next to another Jeep, I will always take the one next to the Jeep. The extra walking distance is good for my back (at least that's what my back surgeon says).

I do the same exact thing, even though here in san diego,ca the jeep thing is kind of dead. Since most of the jeeps i drive by are jks and are older people that dont understand any of it. So i just wave and get nothing back. But doesnt matter to me. I'm still going to keep on waving even if i get nothing back. And tilted kilt. Awesome place to eat. Ladies have nice little outfits, have bar height tables, lowered tables for the girls to have to bend over. One here in san diego has big tvs all over and like Daswrangler said about all the beers on draft.

If it's a stock Jeep I worry I will make them feel insecure. Maybe that's misguided, but I worry about these things.

God I'm a good guy....

The part I liked is how you were sitting by the window looking out at your Jeep. I catch myself doing that all the time.
