Passenger seat does not pull forward anymore

The other day I pulled on the thread to let the dog in the back seat and I heard this awful metal sound and now the seat will not pull forward...for the time being I am able to slide the bottom all the way forward with the regular seat adjuster and then push the seat as far forward as it can go (this probably accomplished about half of what it is capable of doing).

Has anyone broken this before? Did you fix it yourself? If so how difficult? Did you bring it to the shop? If so how much $?

do you mean it doesn't tumble forward?
If thats the problem, you broke the cable that links to the lever under the seat.

This thread will help shed some light, never mind my technical wording.

I'm not sure how to fix it because mine still works, but there is a lever under the seat that you can pull up on to make the seat tumble forward like it did before. Just lean the back of the seat forward and pull up on this lever. Then you should be able to pull the seat all the way forward
