passenger side door handle getting loose.

my passenger door handle from the outside is getting loose. not the lever itself but the black part behind it that seals to the hole in the door.

is this a common thing? any fixes? I feel like I could just glue it, but I dont wanna end up with a icky half arse repair.

If you take the door panel off you can access the handle with the window up and you'll see kind of a ratcheting mechanism that holds it in. Tighten that up and you're good to go. Mine did the same thing a few years back and hasn't come loose since.
