Past the paint and at the metal

So bedlining my tub (u-pol raptor) and I've actually hit down to the metal for most of it with my sander. Thinking I will probably just take all the paint off (overkill, I know) but what do I have to apply to the metal to ensure that when I spray it'll stick? I already have acetone for the cleanup when I'm done, but for the bare metal I'll need....?

Also, would it be wise to maybe just coat the metal with whatever primer I might need for it, and keep the scuffed paint that's done properly and just spray the whole thing, if that makes any sense.

I know my prep work is going to be hardcore already, because it already has been, but just want to make sure I get everything right before I coat it permanently!

shouldnt need anything, as the bedliner will adhere to the scuffed metal.

I would stop and get a good primer / rust preventer like Chassis Saver, but I also wouldn't be using uPol as it fades. I would use Monstaliner (same company that makes Chassis Saver: Magnet Paints) as monstaliner is UV permanent.

U-pol in mine and my buddies hasn't faded....... Herculiner fades unless topcoated, yours is the first time I've ever heard anyone say Raptor fades....

Yeah, I looked around for quite a bit before I decided on the Upol. I've heard nothing but positive things about them. Plus it gives off the smoother finish I was looking for, that's easier to clean.
