Perfectly good TJ's turned U-boats

The news media have put out the warning to buyers about the cars, Jeeps included, coming out of flooded New Orleans. The first of these cars are now turning up in auctions locally. I figure that they may have some pretty good deals for someone willing to do some (or alot) of work and sweat. Has anyone done this kind of work before on restoring a submerged Jeep? I figure that 2000 to 2005 model yrs might get expensive due to limitations to dealer only supplied parts. I think the electronics might get a little tricky. I'd love some input.

Eat more Pizza, I got my new catalogs in and Christmas is coming!!

Salt and water damage is a bad thing when it comes to used Jeeps or any auto. The corrorsive properties leave to many unknown factors in my view. Tons of infor on the web about it. I think your money would be better spent buying a good condition Jeep as it will cost you less in the long run. Or look for a salavge titled, non flood, from places like, casmiami.com, or autoworldofamerica.com both out of Fla, but list if it was in a flood or erepairables.com also has a good list of jeeps.
