PIAA, KC, or another???

In going to invest in some lighting for my TJ. I have the light mounts on each side of the front window and was wondering what was a good bright brand to go with. Lookin to spend around 70 bucks. Thanks

I like the KC Daylighters, but you are going to spend a little more than $70 for those....they all are good lights though.
If you are on a budget, you can get some "hella" lights at Walmart for $50-$60 bucks and they arent bad for the money, not sure what the wattage on those are though.

Just do some homework and look for sales.

Just installed a pair of KC Daylighters up next to the windows and they're very bright. $70 won't buy a new pair, I scored mine from Craigslist new-in-box for $65. Purchased a pair of KC mounts for $30+$10 to ship from 4wd.com. Don't buy the wal-mart or auto store crap; up your ante to $100-150 range and get what's worth buying. You won't be disappointed

PIAA's are nice if overpriced lights that ain't "trail rated". Nice for the highway, don't like too much abuse.

I have 4 of them I'll sell you if you'd like.

If your budget is only $70 then go with the hella 500's. I have hellas on my bumper and KC 130W's on my windshield. The hellas light up the road and trail good at night but combined with the kc's it will make it daylight out. The kc's are VERY bright. If you do go KC get the 130W not the 100W

You should wait a little longer and get the KC 130W. The KC logo and the Jeep name are like peanut butter and jelly.

I'm a big fan of and long-time user of KC lights. They don't use plastic & their warranty is something like 23 years for even burned out bulbs. I'd go KC every time. My last TJ that was recently stolen had KC's 8" lights on it and they were awesome, they replaced my ten year old KC 5" Daylighters that were still in good enough condition to sell.

I have KC 6" 150w Daylighters. Super bright, but kind of a yellowish light. Also takes a lot of amps to run them, and they get freaking HOT. My next set will be HIDs.

They don't take any more amps or get any hotter than any other 150 watt light does.

I went with the Hella 500 FF's 55 watts two pointer out 10 degrees gives a good sweep of light.....plenty of light way down the road. All told about $110 and an hour of my time.
