Holds my 35" MT/R with no movement or rattles. Click on the "my build" link in my signature for more information. The bumper builds are towards the end of the thread.

Here's mine... It rattles on rough bumps.

how high should it be to hold lets say a 33 inch im at 31 inch tires right now but ima be upgrading soon and how did you make your pivot point is it something like a bolt welded to your bumper? and a nut screws on top of it to hold the tire carrier down. also how would i get a template for the studs to go in a bracket to hold the tire on. your locking pin is pretty smart really simple and looks like it works great

Here are a couple updated pics. One of the finished latch bolt and one of the complete swing out. This shows the rubber bumpers.

I don't think most builders use the rubber bumpers. I feel they eliminate the movement and flex of the A frame.
The swing-out dimensions are:
Main beam- 43"
Upright -18"
Diagonals-24"
Tire mount-5.5"
Reinforcing strut-7.5"
All square tubing is 2x2x3/16"

This is the spindle and latch kit that I used from AtoZ Fabrication
http://www.atozfabrication.com/store...cat=274&page=1
I chose the mega duty spindle for $25 dollars more.
