Pictures (alot) and video from Silver lake today

I went to silver lake sand dunes today for the first time with the jeep.
I was sooooo surprised on how well the jeep did. Never got stuck where i needed a recovery. the jeep made it up every hill in the park (sometimes not on the first try)

16PSI in the tires (could have went lower) and slap her in 4 low and go, super fun.
I actually jumped the jeep TWICE and had it off the ground 2+ feet according to bystanders, ON ACCIDENT LOL(not trying to jump, just going a bit fast). funny how 4500 pounds leaves the ground so easily.

luckily after a day of flooring it, and jumping (lol =P) nothing at all broke. including the 180 miles both ways. very happy with the jeep, i had no clue she had it in her.
one thing though, as i was out doing f-150s, blzers, the standard 4x4s....a Pontiac Aztec showed up and appeared to be in stock condition and showed me up. I followed him to see the embarresment of him getting stuck, watched him climb a hill and thought wow, i took the same path and the sand stopped me. LOL it was NUTS

video going up test hill, bunch of jeeps in this shot.

Looks like a fun trip!!!

You reminded me of this video. I don't think they were expecting it either. Some NSFW language in the video.

wow, that was crazy. yeah i did nothing like that, just a small bounce from the top of the dune having a lip or edge before peaking. most dunes are rounded or flat on top, but as I found out, just because it looks round does not mean it is. dunes are tricky from a distance. lol
most of the time I could fly up and the dune would slow me or the top would be forgiving to speed. there was just 2 spots that i found that were not the case. luckily they were just step ups so there wasn't a chance for the jeep to gain speed going down.
