Smile Pictures of 6.5" speakers in sound bar please!

I recently purchased two Alpine Type S coaxial speakers for my sound bar, and two Arc coaxial speakers for my dash. My worry about the sound bar is the the Alpines are 6.5", and since they will not fit in the cavity that the original speakers were in, that the speakers will stick too far out of the sound bar, making it easy for people to bump into getting in the backseat, so if you have pictures of 6.5" speakers in the sound bar, post up those pictures so I can see how they look! Thank you!

Mine (Infinity) did fit in the recess either and I used the grilles the speakers came with. No big deal.

I just put in 6.5 Polk Audio DXI650 marine rated speakers in mine. Got them from Best Buy for $99 Fit in the original hole. I just drilled new holes for the speaker. I didn't use the adapter that would have stuck them down further.

I have 6.5s in my speaker bar and no ones ever even noticed... They present no problem, so dont worry my sound bar is from an 00 sahara just for reference, they are different depending on the bar you have. I know mine is

I have a 2004 X if that matters. I am just worried that it will stick down too far, so people trying to cram in the back will hit it. Thanks for the pictures so far!

I have the same speakers in mine, didn't have to drill new holes tho' there were several options on the mounting ring, just had to align it right.... Sound much better than stock..

Sorry, hubby has the Jeep at work.... no pics They stick down maybe an inch below the bar, I wouldn't worry about anyone hitting their head on them, and if they do, well..... they'll be more careful next time

Great thread. To all posters installing the 6.5's my question is have any of y'all looked into 6.5 factory grill covers or something fairly similar? I'm trying to make it look pretty clean and didn't want some ghetto looking speaker grill for some punk to come yank out of the jeep. TIA!

Those Polk DXI650's look good for $99. As far as marine-certified 6.5's under $100, are those what you guys would recommend? I'm itching to replace the ones in my soundbar.

^^ You will have to drill holes. I just installed Alpine Type S 6.5's, and they sound great. It will work
