Question Planning to make an offer on a 2004 X...price?

New to Jeeps, always yearned for one. Biting the bullet.
It is at a local small dealer:

48k miles

Full steel doors

Soft Top (new)

4.0 liter 6-cylinder automatic transmission

Their price is $13,900. Was thinking to offer 13?
KBB and Edmunds put it around 16,500...which I thought was crazy high.

Go for it if everything checks out. Underneath, under hood, on the test drive, etc.

I paid more than that over 6 years ago for my 2004 X, auto, bone stock.
But, It had less miles on it. Still does.

My TJ started life as an '03 X. It booked at $13,900 last September when I bought it.....for $12,100. Offer them $12,500.

Lol. It has not been my daily driver for years. I do drive it often though. Just not very far.

I will assume this is the one from the other post.... Few things.. how do you plan to use the jeep? If you want to drive on nice days or go camping.. nice jeep.. If you plan to build it to go off road..know that it has the uber weak dana 35 rear axle.. vs the much better dana 44... Also something else to consider.. for 12-13k you can get a 1st year 2003 jeep rubicon with higher miles.. but it will have most of the bells you need for off-roading.

if you think its worth 13k... then offer under 11500 out the door as a starting point.

Thanks! Its more for just camping and driving. I've never done much offroading...but it could be fun. Going to be moving to FL soon...pretty flat there, but good camping!
