plasti dip interior

Has anyone used plasti dip to paint the interior panels and stuff? I plan on painting the interior of my steel blue Tj and I wanna go with just all black. Im curious if plasti dip would work or if I should use krylon fusion.

I'm curious to know as well. I think I might just give it a shot since plasti dip is removable anyway. If it looks crappy I can just take it off.

I just did this to a few places in my interior dash. I originally had the idea because of some ugly black scratches on a piece above the glove box. I guess the previous owner was hauling something and it was resting on the dash scratching it. I decided also to do the grab handle to make it match some and then put a Jeep logo vinyl sticker to set it off. I guess i'll se how the plasti-dip holds up,let me know what ya think.

That looks great^^ Not sure how well it would hold up but there is Vinyl paint for upholstery that is cheap and very, very durable as well.

I thought about the vinyl paint too and actually picked up a can of that as well. I was a little hesitant about painting interior parts,i used plasti dip because it will peel off if i didn't like it. I really like it now that i did it though but that first spray i was cringing haha

I also had scratches and wear in my tan interior, I gutted it and used SEM color coat paint to re-do it all. It came out great and has held up for 6 months so far.

I simply scuffed it with the green Scotch-brite pads, cleaned it really good with some Dawn dishwashing detergent. I then sprayed on a few coats of adhesion promoter(this is crucial), followed that up with the SEM paint. Let it all dry overnight an reassembled. Altogether it was about an 8 hr job but fairly easy to do, the worst part was scuffing and cleaning.

I have various stuff plastic-dipped on my tj and the only place it has worn off and peeled is the grab handle. I think the softer composition of the handle must have something to do with it or something. I had my rims done on my 350z and could scrub the crap out of em with a brush at the car wash with no issue...yet the plasti-dip usually only takes a couple months to peel on the grab handle.

I guess I should mention that my short little fiancee grabs that handle constantly
