Plasti-dip interior panels today

Hey there guys,

After reading a bunch of threads about using plasti-dip on the interior panels of the jeep, I am going to try it today. I know to clean everything with soap and water, and then spray away. ANyone have pictures of what they have done? My interior is currently grey and not in the best of shape, so I was going to go with black, to clean it all up. Had a good deal of success with the bedliner spray on the exterior, and wanted to know if the plasti-dip is as easy to work with.

Also, not thinking of removing panels, just taping areas off and spraying in place. Thoughts? I want to do the door panels, glove box, center console, and lower dash sections on the drivers side.

Thanks,

Kevin

Sounds like a good project. I would definitely reconsider not taking the panels off. If you ever need to take one off after you spray I can only imagine it will pull the plasti dip right off. It's not that difficult to remove the dash panels and I think the finished product will look a lot cleaner.

I'd also remove the panels. Plati Dip is suprisingly easy to deal with but like opcocrg said if you ever have to remove the panels you could start pulling the plast dip.

Started the project tonight, and I did pull the dash panels and center console. I left the door panels on, and was just very careful pulling off the masking after it was dry. Everything looks good so far, but I have to say that I am a little concerned about durability. How does the plasti dip hold up to daily use? I am afraid that if I rub up against it, or try to clean it once it gets dirty, it will start to rub off. Thoughts??

Krylon fusion has been great for folks on inside panels and durable.

I am still confused why anyone would go through the effort to paint with something you can peel off, but everyone has their own taste.

I agree on both counts.
